Hobie Kayaks decided to offer all their current technology on a light-weight chassis- the Hobie Mirage Lynx does just this. The stable, lightweight hull on the Hobie Lynx is manufactured from their Ace-Tec material that offers strength and durability and weigh’s less than 21.5kg (once the seat and drive are removed). This weight reduction allows for much easier carrying and car/van topping, meaning that more people get to enjoy the legendary Hobie experience.

As with all this years Hobie premium line-up the Lynx is supplied with the Mirage Drive 180, including Kick-Up ST Fins. This drive system can be reversed but pulling the dedicated toggle, and the Kick-Up fins are a neat idea to solve the common problem of all pedal drive kayaks- hitting the bottom. Another nice feature of the Hobie Mirage Drive is that the foot positions can easily be adjusted (without the use of tools) for paddlers/peddlers of differing heights and leg lengths. The Hobie Lynx also comes supplied with an extremely comfortable raised seating system, for a drier ride and can be reclined or bought up to suit various sitting positions. The Mirage Lynx also has a non-complicated rudder system with finger-tip controls to aide steering, and can be removed entirely if not wanted.

Stable, lightweight and easy to use the Hobie Lynx is perfect for cruising on calm, sheltered waters and even a spot of kayak fishing for those that prefer to catch their own supper!
